Alternative Mobile Power Systems Launches AmpPac Dealer Program for First of Kind Solar Golf Cart Kit April 13, 2009, Brookings, Oregon ­ Alternative Mobile Power Systems of Brookings, Oregon recently announced that it has launched the AmpPac dealer program for its Solar Power Golf Cart Kit to provide a turnkey sales solution for dealers seeking complete system components, training and sales collateral including easy install videos, and a trade-in allowance program. The stainless steel and aluminum hardware kit includes printed wiring diagrams and instructions, an installation DVD and some of the tools necessary.

The A.M.P.S Solar Powered Golf Cart Kit restores badly sulfated batteries, reducing landfill impact and environmental waste, and reducing gassing, preventing the release of toxins into the home, workplace and atmosphere, while providing a supplemental charge to golf cart batteries. The Kit includes a digital battery monitor that provides visual cues that the system is working and helps the user diagnose potential electrical problems and a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) charge controller which “fools” the panel into producing a higher voltage by eliminating the panels’ view of the batteries in the system. This extra power is typically converted to higher current (amps), providing increased battery power up to 30%.
