Tucson,
Arizona – On October 25, 2004, John McNamara of HT
Electric, Inc. will appear as a consultant during a
segment of a special edition of the Discovery Channel’s
“Monster” shows series. The upcoming show, titled
“Monsterize Anything,” is a combination of “Monster
Garage,” “Monster House,” and “Monster Nation.”
In
August, McNamara received a call from Original
Productions, a Burbank, California production company,
seeking technical advice on how to make a golf car do
things a golf car has never done before. “After I found
out what they really wanted to do, I knew HT Electric
had to be there,” says McNamara. |
On August 18,
McNamara loaded his truck with HT Electric products and drove
to Phoenix, picking up associate Tim DeWitt, a golf car master
technician, along with more supplies for the “monster” golf
car. And then they were off to Hollywood.
They arrived at
the “Monster Garage” set the following morning. For the next
two days, shooting footage from dawn to dusk, McNamara and
DeWitt were an integral part in monsterizing a golf car. “Any
golf car driver will be truly astounded when they see what a
monster golf car can do,” says McNamara. When asked what
exactly that was, McNamara deferred and said simply to watch
the show. “Be sure to check your local listings,” he said.
